It is not as easy as pressing a switch, but you can increase it by putting these pillars into practice. The experts ofMayo Clinic , they tell you how to find joy.

Practice them at every moment!

  1. Invest in the emotions. Surround yourself with people who are happy. Celebrate with them your successes of life and support them in difficult times. Be careful and kind with constructive criticism.
  2. Express your gratitude It's more than saying thank you. It is a feeling of admiration and gratitude to life. Each day identify at least one thing that will enrich your life. End your day with a positive thought.
  3. Cultivate optimism. Develop the habit of seeing the positive side of things. Start by recognizing negative thoughts, take a step back and analyze if everything is really so bad, if there is another way of looking at the situation and what you can learn from that experience.
  4. Find your purpose People who strive to achieve a goal or fulfill a mission are happier than those who do not have those aspirations. Having a goal provides a sense of purpose, reinforces self-esteem and unites people.
  5. Live the moment. Do not postpone joy by waiting for the day when your life will be less busy or less stressful, because that day will never come. Better, look for opportunities to savor the small pleasures of everyday life and focus on the positive aspects of the moment.

Maybe you think like many people, that happiness comes from being born with money, attractive or living a stress-free life, but the reality is that people who have wealth, beauty or less stress are not happier on average than those who do not enjoy those blessings.

So apply these tips to increase your well-being and do not wait for happiness to arrive on its own, look for it. And you are happy?
