Seaweed reduces obesity

Recent research of the University of Newcastle, in the United Kingdom, point out that the obesity could decrease drastically, thanks to an element that contains the seaweed . The Alginata , a fiber that is in a type of brown seaweed, reduces the ingestion of fats in the body by up to 75%. The percentage is better than what most anti-cancer treatments offer obesity .

Now, the seaweed is being added to bread, in an attempt to develop foods that help lose weight and fight the obesity that reigns worldwide.

This is intended to add this natural fiber to products that people continuously ingest, such as bread, cookies and yogurts.

The Alginatas They are already used in small quantities in foods such as thickeners and stabilizers. These findings were presented in the Symposium of the United States Chemical Society , in San Francisco.
