Three areas of action in the sexual-affective development

It deals with all afective relationships that the subject can establish, in which he becomes aware of his own sexual identity without there being sexual relations in the sense of genitality. To cover all the points involved in this process, three important areas of action :

1) The maturation of sexual experiences.

During puberty, sexuality manifests itself through restlessness and agitation. Masturbation is practiced with guilt or insecurity. At puberty, any source of sexual information that can lead to a beginning of early experiences that is not always prepared is accepted.

2) The maturation of the experiences of falling in love.

In puberty the first contacts are initiated without a formal commitment. The relationships that start at this stage are unstable. The company of a couple produces personal satisfaction and social appreciation before others.

3) The maturation of the experiences of love.

The experience of love does not usually occur at this stage, since it requires a higher level of personal maturation.
