She was treated differently for dyeing blonde hair

Do you think that dyeing your hair blonde would make people treat you differently? This happened to Devin Lytle, who has had her brown hair all her life, but who, as part of a social experiment, decided together with Buzzfeed to change her look.

The two parts of the experiment included surveys on the street, the use of the Tinder dating app, as well as a walk on the street.

In the first test, a group of strangers was presented with an image of Devin; like chestnut and blonde. The participants had to describe it in three words.

The brown-haired Devin received qualifications such as "serious", "tense" and "artistic". The blond Devin, on the other hand, was described as "curious" and "sweet".

The second part of the experiment consisted of creating two accounts in Tinder. One with the blonde Devin and one with the chestnut.

Devin chestnut received 33 "matches", while the blonde Devin got 88.

In the final stage of the experiment, despite wearing the same outfit, blonde Devin received three whistles on the street (although in reality they are not flattery, but harassment), while the brunette Devin did not get a single one.

With three experiments Devin and Buzzfeed realized that a blonde woman receives a better treatment from strangers than a pretty brunette. How about?
