Corticosteroids are medications used as part of the treatment for respiratory problems , and musculoskeletal injuries or disorders due to its anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive properties. However, there is a lot of misinformation about its use, as well as a high frequency of self-medication.

Actually, the National Institute of Health (NIH) of the United States suggests inhaled corticosteroids (ICS), as the preferred method for the treatment of chronic asthma , provided they are used under medical prescription, because they are much more effective in relieving nasal obstruction than antihistamines.

Treatment of musculoskeletal problems
