Allergy by mosquito bite

It is common for these tiny flying insects to feed on human blood causing the annoying pickets at the moment of injecting a little of their saliva in the skin of the little ones. However, a small picket can cause a allergic reaction .

After the mosquito bite the reaction can be immediate or delayed. Instantly, the area of the bite becomes red and hours later a small, itchy bulge will form which in most cases disappears 1 or 2 days later.

If the area affected by the stings is affected in a consecutive way, new, itchy sores can appear that cause the appearance of acute prurigo or papular urticaria, common in children.

Generally the major reactions to mosquito bites, have their origin in the saliva of the insect. In affected minors, the hives and coloration can last several months and leave a mark.

Allergic reactions from mosquito bites are frequent and there are geographical areas where they are characterized by the formation of subcutaneous blisters and generalized reactions. Respiratory allergies produced by bodily waste from the mosquito have also been described, which are transported through the air and can cause sensitization when inhaled.

Prevention

The cares are similar to those recommended against bees or wasps. For those people who have been detected as allergic, we recommend the use of clothing that covers arms and legs, avoid visiting places with a large population of mosquitoes, install mosquito nets in the windows, as well as using insecticides or repellent agents.
