Nudes promote male intelligence

Observing nude women improves the reaction capacity of men, than looking at them in a bikini or clothes, according to a study carried out in Finland.

The research published by Excelsior , directed by Jari K. Hietanen of the University of Tampere , consisted of gathering a group of men and women to project images of both genders naked and wearing clothes, cutting their faces to measure the speed of recognition.

The specialists concluded that the nakedness of human bodies is detected quickly during the visual process and that the occitotemporal brain wave N170 responds more quickly to naked bodies than to faces.

The study also revealed that the appearance of people without clothes were sexually more exciting than other kinds of images.

Meanwhile, the responses of brain masculine nudes were more conclusive compared to male nudes, and women's responses to the nakedness it was not affected by the sex of the bodies.

In addition, the study reveals that the brain enlarges the processing capacity of sexually exciting signals, which become auxiliary when choosing partners for mating.

The visual responses of the electrical activity of the brain , which allowed the researchers to study the first phases of visual information processing.

"We conclude that the brain Human is tuned to detect sexual signals from human bodies quickly, and that this categorization process is reflected in the N170 ERP component, sensitive to faces and bodies, "the researchers point out.

They added that "this way of perception for the processing of sexual signals helps the activation of sexual behavior and ensures the mating and reproduction ".
