Noise could cause heart attacks

Constant exposure to loud noises, exceeding 65 decibels, could trigger a heart attack , warned the researcher of the Department of Health, Psychology and Community of the Higher Education Institute of the West (ITESO), Everardo Camacho Gutiérrez .

If the decibels are above 90, that generates injuries in the structure of the ear; but, if the noise is chronic, that is, if you expose yourself for a long time above 65 decibels, this generates changes in the structure of the myocardium , that is, heart .

According to research carried out, including on animals, significant injuries have been detected at the Cardiovascular system for the noise, explained the ITESO academic.

Besides, the personality also suffers alterations by the stress caused by noise, pathologies such as migraine , headache tensional, hypertension , asthma bronchial, colitis nervous, ulcer , allergies or even Cancer .

These processes are linked to many diseases and the loss of quality of life, the specialist added.

According to national regulations on noise emission, they should not exceed 65 (daytime) and 68 decibels (nighttime) during activities or machinery work in industries, bus terminals, railways, fairs, tianguis and circuses.
