A person with sleeping problems can emit every 20 seconds a noise of 15 to 20 decibels (magnitude of sound). This generates in the couple or companion of night a superficial rest and of bad quality, affirms Diego García-Borreguero, director of the Sleep Research Institute.  

Does this alter the rest as a couple? It is possible, since in Mexico only 10% is diagnosed, the rest of the population that has sleep problems never receive treatment. This is indicated by an article of the Health Secretary.

Due to lack of space, habit or love, many couples sleep together. However, how to achieve that both members of the relationship rest. Here some tips.

1. Light, yes or no? Darkness tells the brain to increase levels of melatonin, a hormone that helps the body rest. The problem arises when the partner can not sleep with the light off. For this, choose a small low-voltage lamp.

2. Space is necessary. If your partner is the one who likes to sleep curled up, but you do not resort to this technique: Let him hug you for 10 to 15 minutes or expect him to fall asleep, when it happens, carefully withdraw from his side and occupy the space of the bed that corresponds to you. You must not refuse it!

3. Do not get upset. Set a stable time to go to bed and wake up. If for some exceptional reason (for example, the weekend) you get more nightly than expected, do not get up too late the next day.

In this way, although you will spend a day sleep, it will not alter your rest cycle, as indicated by the Clinic against anxiety.

4. Leave technology out. The use of electronic devices such as tablets, mobiles and messaging applications, or television just before sleep makes it difficult to reconcile sleep, not only because of the time consumption involved, but because of the light they emit, which reduces the amount of melatonin that segregates brain.

5. Avoid some sleeping positions. According to the teacher Chris Idzikowski, director of Sleep Evaluation Service, notes that the Starfish and Soldier position are more likely to facilitate snoring and nightmares.
