Live without the internet?

An investigation carried out by the Oxford University in England revealed that the use of iinternet could be a factor that detonates the idea of suicide in some teenagers. However, not everything is bad, but what is a reality is that this technology has changed our lives.

And with information from the company CISCO systems we tell you six transformations:

1. Entertainment. Television has stopped occupying most of the leisure time, according to the European Advertising Association Interactive (EIAA) , Internet is the medium most consumed by Spaniards, ranking in number of hours (13.3 hours per week) over the TV with 13 hours per week and the radio with 12.

2. Personal relationships The email and instant messages provide the opportunity to interact with other people without having to be physically present.

3. The way we communicate. The immediacy of e-mail has replaced the traditional letters, instant messaging is imposed in large measure in front of the telephone, and millions of SMS are sent daily. On the other hand, blogs have become an important means to tell experiences and express opinions.

4. Shopping. From home or the office, it is possible to make the purchase of the supermarket, but also, acquire gifts and almost any other type of product or service. A way to save time and even money, since you can compare offers easily and comfortably.

5. Work. This is not a physical place, but an activity that can be carried out at any time and place. The mobile devices and new collaboration technologies such as videoconferencing allow work teams to interact with great ease and naturalness.

6. Access to information. The Web is today the largest source of information, generated by all types of users. As it is freely available, not always what is in it is entirely reliable. Here there are pros and cons.

The influence of Internet It is significant. An investigation carried out by the expert Gary Small notes that this technology can stimulate brain functions.
