The consumption of fiber has been linked to a low risk of suffering from various types of cancer of the digestive tract, especially the case of colon cancer.

 

Inflammation and oxidative stress

Recent studies have identified in dietary fiber, mainly insoluble, such as wheat bran, phenolic compounds that are substances that have antioxidant activity, so that their consumption could help fight free radicals.
