More sport and less flu

The sport elevates and favors the defenses of the human body.

Researchers concluded that physical activity , it does not matter if it is for short periods, it is a good remedy against the cold .

The study was released in the latest edition of the British Journal of Sports Medicine.

Experts speculate that exercise increases the production of the cells of the immune system David C. Nieman, a researcher at the study, commented: "Exercise makes the cells (of the immune system) circulate through the body and confront the enemy."

The text explains that one thousand two volunteers from 18 to 85 years of age were asked to write down their symptoms for 3 months (during the winter season), in addition to controlling the respiratory infections they presented. Among the conclusions highlighted that those who exercised 5 or more days a week reduced up to 46% the frequency of colds than the rest.

Another aspect to note is that those who were found physically active, they suffered 41% less on days with cold symptoms, compared to the sedentary group. In addition, athletes suffered less severe colds.
