They install traps to end dengue

Given the outbreaks of dengue that have occurred in recent months in various states of the Mexican Republic and the risk of infection latent, the Ministry of Health of Tamaulipas announced that starting this week will install obitra in the colonies where there is a greater risk of contracting dengue.

In this regard, Jaime Gutiérrez, head of the Sanitary Jurisdiction Five, said that these actions will be carried out in order to have a real picture of the increase or decrease of populations with mosquitoes transmitting dengue in the colonies Victoria, El Remolino and Fovissste.

In this sense, Gutiérrez Serrano pointed out that in each of these colonies, approximately 44 obitrampas , both inside and outside the homes. The reason for these actions is that these colonies are in a contingency phase, preventive measures must be reinforced to prevent any possible Dengue outbreak .

In Tamaulipas in July, they were detected 13 cases of dengue suspect, but even laboratories in this state have not revealed the results of these. The recommendation for the inhabitants is to keep their houses and streets clean and prevent the proliferation of larvae that may increase the chances that the dengue mosquito may appear.
