Robotic surgery, a great ally against prostate cancer

At a press conference, the Dr. Richard Gastón , Urologist of the Clinique Saint Augustin, of Bordeaux France and one of the largest references of robot-assisted surgery, said that currently there are 10 to 15 percent of surgeons who can perform a traditional prostate intervention with the highest precision, for this reason it is recommended the use of robotic surgery allows greater accuracy.

 

Dr. Gastón commented that during 2014, in France, 60% of cancer surgeries were performed with the support of robots, and that it is expected that for the next five years, all operations will be done with this technology.
