Relax your sight!

Do you see blurry? Or do you feel irritation or itchy eyes? Then it is time for your eyes to take a break to reduce visual stress, with effective and easy eye relaxation techniques.

These techniques reduce the stress, fatigue and headache that is generated when a person registers a visual effort for a long time, for example, when he is in front of the computer or reading.

According to the page Seeing. The Bates Method , there are different techniques to reduce visual stress, however, the technique called palming, as well as other massages will help you to relax the view from anywhere, you just have to dedicate a few minutes.

 

Relax your sight!

1.- Automassage. Close your eyes. Place your fingertips on your forehead, an inch above your eyebrows and make small circles gently for a few seconds. Then stretch your eyebrows with your hands, following their center shape outwards. Finally, place the fingers on the sides of the eyes (on the temple) and perform circular movements.

2.- Visual relaxation. Stand up straight with your legs slightly apart. Without moving your feet, turn your body and face slowly to the right and return to the starting position and continue to the left, do not stop the movement; watch with your eyes all the way. Inhale and exhale slowly.

3.- Palming. Sit comfortably in front of a table. Rest your elbows on it, join the fingers of your hand and flex them a bit so that you simulate a shell. Cover the eyes, take care that the crossed fingers are placed on the forehead and the nose is free to breathe. Without exerting pressure, move your hands in a circular way.

4.- Eights. Stretch a finger and simulate that you write a large horizontal eight in the air. Watch your finger while doing this movement, your head must remain motionless. Do it in a soft and slow way, so that your breathing is calm.

5.- Near and far. Stretch a finger from your hand and place it in front of your eyes. Move your hand away slowly until your arm is fully stretched. Now, slowly bring your finger close to your eyes (approximately five centimeters). Your eyes should remain fixed on the finger.

Remember that the objective of palming is to relax, so do not squeeze too much the palms of your hands over your eyes. Practice it every day for a week and you will notice how your eyes, mind and body will be freed from stress.
