Learn all about gas of laughter

The nitrous oxide it is popularly known as the "laughing gas" and is used by young people like drug of fun. This gas is inhaled directly from an aerosol or from a balloon filled with this colorless substance.

The "laughing gas" it produces euphoria, a feeling of well-being and a certain drunkenness; the effects usually last a maximum of three minutes. Its continuous consumption generates addiction like that of any other narcotic . It is common that the use of this is combined with other drugs such as marijuana , the cocaine and the Hallucinogens .

Such is the case of the actress Demi Moore who intoxicated last week at home, after combining other drug with the "laughing gas ".

A study conducted by doctors from Auckland Hospital , in New Zealand , revealed that of 1,700 university students, 60% knew that nitrous oxide was being used as drug of fun, 12% acknowledged using it for this purpose and 3% considered themselves a regular user.

The abuse of this substance blocks the action of the b12 vitamin which causes severe damage in the spinal cord . An overdose causes fainting and respiratory arrest that can lead to death.
