Numerous studies related to emotional intelligence have come to the conclusion that the people who overeat or compulsively are characterized by the feeling of lack of control and dependence that would not exist if they had an adequate self esteem .

That lack of control, experts say, is often a product of feelings and emotions that can hardly be identified and, much less, communicated and handled conveniently.

Learning to eat
