How is your perception of threat?

The stress where we live is stronger every day, due to factors such as violence , unemployment , accidents , traffic Y diseases . If to this we add events "out of the ordinary", such as falls of planes, meteors, etc., the perception of threat increases.

In an interview for GetQoralHealth , the doctor Benjamín Domínguez, specialist of the School of Psychology of the UNAM , it states:

"70% of the population that suffers some perception of threat , they overcome it to a certain extent, so that their quality of life is good, but 30% of the people are vulnerable and will reflect it in their state of health ".

In this sense, Benjamín Domínguez clarifies that most of the time people who are more vulnerable because of the perception of threat, caused by stress, have sleep disorders, anxiety , nervousness and irritability ”.

The psychologist of the UNAM points out that these events are unpredictable, but it gives us some clues to be more "resistant to stress "And being able to face various events that go from science fiction to reality, as is the case of the meteor that fell in Russia a few weeks ago or the falls of helicopters or planes in various parts of the world:

1. Have friends . Building strong friendships is a key value so that human beings can overcome losses and life experiences.

2. Exercise . Not only does it keep your body, joints and bones healthy, it also oxygenates your brain and neurons, so you make better decisions.

3. Laugh more and worry less. It is proven that people who are "concerned" instead of "caring" are more vulnerable to various disorders.

4. Adopt a plant or a pet. According to the doctor Dominguez, having a living being by our side improves the mood, strengthens the defenses, etc.

5. Sleep. If by stress, you can not fall asleep, the ideal is to take a relaxing bath, get a massage or take an infusion such as valerian or lettuce tea, so that you can rest naturally.

"If people apply these simple, but effective steps, they will realize that this is more effective than any pill."
