Headaches increase in summer

Most of those who suffer from migraine or headaches develop these conditions more easily in summer, according to the  Spanish Society of Neurology (SEN).

High temperatures and heat cause dilatation of the arteries , which added to the increase in atmospheric pressure favors the presence of headaches.

The Headaches may appear as a result of a insolation or exhaustion due to excess activity and may be accompanied by nausea, cramps, hypotension, blurred vision, fatigue, sweating or even loss of consciousness due to heat stroke.

Other factors that trigger these conditions are the intensity of natural light and the cold stimuli that produce abrupt changes in body temperature such as air conditioning or ice cream.

In case the headache lasts more than 12 hours, go to your doctor to review and tell you what treatment to follow. Watch your health!
