He depends on you!

Newborn babies are totally dependent on the care, feeding and love of adults. Some diseases and disabilities are not evident at birth and, although they are present, their existence manifests as the child grows and develops.

The hearing loss (hearing loss) congenital, is one of those deficiencies difficult to detect in a newborn, however, can leave the child who suffers at a disadvantage all their lives if you do not give the early attention you require.

He depends on you!

This is why it is very important to identify the congenital hearing problems in the newborn, since the success of the rehabilitation of deafness in babies or with auditory deficit it will depend on how quickly the problem is addressed.

Hence, in different countries of the world, neonatal auditory screening programs are routine, universal and even mandatory.

Auditory screening, as the name implies, is a filter or sounding through which deafness can be identified in infants a few hours or days after birth.
