Scientists designed brain implant what recover lost memory and strengthens the recovery of information in laboratory rats. The discovery is key to the development of neuronal devices that help to repair the deficits that cause diseases such as heart attacks, dementia, or other conditions that affect the memory .

The implant is the first of its kind that improves the cognitive function and it resembles the behavior patterns of certain neurons . In a series of experiments, researchers at Wake Forest University and the University of Southern California trained rats to remember how to get water by pushing a button.

Later, they drugged them to make them forget which button they had to press to get liquid. Once the rats forgot the data learned, they were implanted electronic brain prosthesis what doubled the signals Nine in the brain region needed, and the rats managed to remember the lesson.
