The pride of being a reader

Today more than ever, young people are in contact with reading: "you have to see the way they write, send, receive and read text messages, whether on the phone, on social networks or on the computer ... they are different types of readings, explains José Luis Trueba , author of the book "Love, zombies and other misfortunes".

The problem is that they do not read what some adults would like, but in fact they are close to it. Seeing it that way, it is not unreasonable to accept and even awaken the habit of reading that, the author says, provides advantages such as improving spelling, having a richer vocabulary and the development of mental order.

In addition, it allows you to live many lives in different scenarios, thanks to the characters, it gives you elements to be able to defend your ideas, to give words a deeper and deeper meaning.

Thus, José Luis Trueba offers some tips to have a meeting with books in a natural way and extend that unsuspected pleasure that you now have for reading, but you have not let out:

1. We all like to be told something, books do that: they tell stories, the joke is that you find the one you like and for that you have to try both, allow yourself to browse, meet the author, his work and decide if you stay or not with him.

2. Read with freedom, if a story does not catch you and you are tempted to leave, do it just like when you are watching a television program that you do not like and without major fault you change the channel, or how you leave the cinema when the Movie is not as good as you expected.

3. Although the surveys indicate that in Mexico, readers are loyal to a literary genre, as in this case are self-help books, try not to marry just one, in this way you can explore several options and then, stay with the one more like it

The options to get started in the habit of reading are very diverse, now not only you have to limit yourself to the classics or those books that although it is true they are written for any type of audience, sometimes they seem far from what a young person can live .

Currently many writers have turned to see this group and you can easily find a story capable of catching you. So do not say no before trying; Give her a chance to read and you will most likely find in her a way to be different and enrich your life.
