Many times our body reflects symptoms that we can confuse with some diseases , as is the case depression , that is, if we feel sadness, fatigue and apathy, we do not hesitate a second to think that we are depressed; however, it may be something else.

According to different studies, there are diseases that share the symptoms of depression that require treatments other than antidepressants or psychotherapy.

So you do not overlook other diseases that can cause fatigue, insomnia, decreased appetite, loss of interest or persistent sadness, pay attention to other physical conditions that share these symptoms.

1. Vitamin D deficiency . According to a study published in the journal Archives of Internal Medicine , details that there is a close relationship between the lack of this vitamin and the symptoms of depression. So protect yourself properly and enjoy the sun's rays.

2. Hypothyroidism . Low levels of thyroid hormone causes fatigue, weight gain, apathy, depression, inability to concentrate and memory problems.

3. Low blood sugar levels When a person is hungry and experiences low levels of sugar, it is normal to experience episodes of depression, but can be overcome by eating low carbohydrate and protein foods.

4. Dehydration . According to a study of the University of Connecticut's Human Performance Laboratory , a bad hydration alters the mood of a person.

5. Digestive problems . The intolerance to some foods, in addition to the discomforts of the stomach, alters the mood, that is to say, the people feel sad and anxious, due to the allergic reactions that cause an inflammation in the brain.

Even bipolar disorder is another condition that can be confused with the depression , schizophrenia or personality disorders, reveals a study conducted in Madrid.
