The care and the Attention that receives a child during the first eight years of his life, and especially during the first three, are fundamental and have great influence the rest of his life.

For nobody is a secret that, to reach a psychic development appropriate, boys and girls they need to receive love and attention, as well as a whole series of stimuli during their growth and emotional development.

According to the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) , minors have the same physical, mental, emotional and social needs. Both have the same capacity for learning and have the same need for affection, attention and approval.

However, the conditions of the environment in which they live can be a powerful obstacle to achieving the good intentions proposed by the international organization. These small and small women who suffer from anemia, malnutrition or get sick frequently, UNICEF believes, can be more frightened and irritated than a healthy boy or girl, and have less desire to play, explore and relate to others.

The importance of caring for children's emotions

UNICEF believes that emotions in childhood are real and very powerful. For example, they may experience a feeling of frustration when they are not able to do something or denied something they want.

They tend to be afraid of unknown people, of darkness or develop a shy and withdrawn character, unable to express emotions normally if they are taken as a joke, they are punished, their crying, their anger or their fear is ignored.

But there is still something worse, the international organization estimates: physical punishment or any display of violence is detrimental to the development of children. Children punished in times of irritation are more likely to develop violent behavior themselves.

A clear explanation of the behavior to be followed, the imposition of firm rules on what should not be done and the approval of good behavior are more effective systems to encourage boys and girls, to treat them as what they are: sensitive people and thinking.

It is seen that beatings and verbal violence are useless.
