4 measures to combat mobbing

The mobbing is a aggression perpetrated by a group or an identifiable person, in a deliberate and concerted manner; systematic, recurrent and prolonged in time.

Through hostile, cruel and dishonest communication an individual is subjected to a psychological torture in order to expel him from a group or, at least, isolate him. The mobbing is clearly differentiated from harassment and sexual harassment .

This October 2 is the International Day of Nonviolence, thus GetQoralHealth gives you the following preventive measures, so that you work in a healthy and comfortable environment:

1.- Regarding the environment:

  • It offers good visibility and lighting for the observation of work areas.
  • Establish some system to be able to ask for help quickly.
  • Place security services in the main entrance, next to the transit path of users.
  • Establish mechanisms that allow the identification of the aggressor.

2.- Those referring to work procedure :

  • Communicate to superiors any concerns you have about your safety and report immediately in writing of any incident.
  • Establish clear emergency procedures on what to do and where to go in the event of an incident, appropriate to each facility.

3.- Those referring to the training and information:

  • Give workers adequate and appropriate information on procedures and work systems.
  • Provide specific training on how to handle situations violence in the workplace.

4.- Regarding security systems

  • Equipment designed to prevent or stop violence must be easy to use.
  • Workers must be trained in the management of equipment designed to prevent or stop violence.
