Each year around 15 million babies die worldwide premature birth , which means that 1 in 10 are born before the 37th week gestation , which is why it is the first cause of early neonatal mortality, according to the World Health Organization .

In an interview with GetQoralHealth, the Dr. Víctor Jurado, of the Mexican Council of Pediatrics and the Mexican Association of Neonatologists , explains that of every 100 births in our country, seven are premature , so they are estimated around 150 thousand premature births only in Mexico.
