Why do men speak less?

Communication within the couple as in other relationships, friendship or work, is essential for their development; However, sometimes it can be difficult especially in the case of men, but is this because they do not like to talk?

Communication is essential to express feelings, emotions, thoughts and disagreements, but when the circuit, sender-message-receiver, is not completed, it can not be carried out, resulting in conflicts and misunderstandings.

How many times do we hear from friends and acquaintances: He never says anything !, he is not interested! This very common situation may have a biological origin.

According to an investigation carried out by the University of Maryland at Baltimore , it was discovered that men speak less because they have lower levels of a protein called FOXP2, considered the language protein.

Women pronounce around 20 thousand words a day, 13 thousand more than the masculine gender and this is because in their brain there is 30% more of the FOXP2 protein; In addition to this, it was also observed that girls learn to speak earlier and faster than children. They pronounce their first words and sentences before, they have a wider vocabulary and use a greater variety of sentence types than boys of the same age.

Published by the magazine Jounal of Neuroscience , the study sheds light on a topic that has always caused difficulties: the few words expressed by a man independent of the circumstance, a fact that causes the communication in relationships is not complete.
