Having a bad job affects your health more than being unemployed

Have a unstable employment , applicant and in which you are not valued, could make you more unhappy than being unemployed. The Australian National University investigated the effects of a person's employment on their wellness .

Researchers studied 7 years of data from more than 7 thousand volunteers in a previous study about the work environment , and found that low quality jobs, with a high degree of responsibility, little decision making, high uncertainty and low recognition, had negative effects on health of the people who occupied them, compared to the unemployed .

The study measured the levels of depression, anxiety and well-being of individuals. According to the results, unemployed people who obtained a high quality work they experienced improvements in their mental health . While those who kept an unsatisfactory job had the worst grades, including those who were unemployed.

The importance of a job that makes you happy is imminent to enjoy a healthy mental state, so if you find yourself in a unsatisfactory employment , look for a position that makes you happy and meet your needs.
