Belly pressed postpartum

It is believed that the belly is the center of the maternal body, well some Mayans said that if this part of the body was affected, surely the life of the woman also, so they helped the newly born woman to feel better by wrapping her abdomen to help contract the uterus and to return to her place original.

The uterus will naturally have to return to the original place one month after the date of delivery. Wrap the belly is a practice that the current woman can maintain and adopt, can help them feel more comfortable and with the feeling of greater security in that body area.

For them it is advisable to use a stretch of cloth 20 or 25 cm wide and approximately 1.5 meters long. Preferably it is a cotton fiber to allow perspiration.

The fabric should begin to be placed in the mid-abdomen extending from the pubic bone to below the navel. The area should be wrapped around the belly, type girdle. The ends of the fabric can be held by elastic clasps (used in the use of bandages).
