One in 10 Mexican adolescents is at risk of developing eating disorders such as anorexy , but it can be prevented if an adequate treatment is put into practice.

According to a study published in the journal Cell , the anorexy it develops due to the presence of a gene that motivates food consumption, called the alpha receptor (ESRRA).

Patients with anorexia should understand that they are not the only ones and that they need help to improve their quality of life.

These groups are essential for them to regain their security, self-confidence and talk openly about their problem.

All these treatments can be combined to find an integral solution to the problem and avoid relapse in patients.
