There are several diseases transmitted by mosquitoes that if they are not treated with responsibility, they can be lethal or cause serious discomfort.

Here we present the diseases that can be acquired with mosquito bites.

1. Zika

The zika or sika virus has gained great relevance so far in 2016, since cases were detected in Brazil and recently in Colombia, where there are reports of 9 cases of infection in pregnant women.

The disease caused by the Zika virus is gaining strength, which is why the World Health Organization promotes recommendations and initiated an alert.

This virus is transmitted by the mosquito of the genus Aedes and causes headache, weakness and mainly joint and muscle pain.
