What do you do when you get bored? If you have paper and pencil, maybe draw scrawl or the first thing that occurs to you. This spontaneous act not only ends your boredom, but improves your intelligence .

According to an investigation of the School of Psychology at the University of Plymouth , this distraction is associated with better learning, an increase in creativity and better performance.

 

To draw has been said!

The researchers detail that when drawing something on a paper while doing another activity they are able to remember 29% of the information that those who wrote down the information.

This is because when you draw a scribble the areas of the brain that help you concentrate to perform various tasks are activated.

In this way, when making drawings while you are on the phone or in a conference, your mind will be focused on what you are listening to and will not be distracted by other things like what you have to do later.

That is, these lines, hearts, letters or geometric shapes are what allow you to be more receptive to information.

 

Generate your ideas!

Also the scribbles help you generate ideas, it makes you more creative and you will make better decisions. For example, if after doing this activity, someone presents you with a problem, you will have a fresher mind to solve it.

So if you want to pay more attention or just want to make better decisions, start drawing on whatever paper you have at hand. Always bring a feather with you!
