In this regard, Dr. Pilar Milke of National Institute of Medical Sciences and Nutrition , states that the moon diet can generate an imbalance in the body, because it does not provide protein, or fat, only some carbohydrates, in case of ingesting fruit juices:

"With this diet you lose between two or three kilos, at the most, but everything is water, that is to say, the next day you recover it; you do not lose fat, which is what people need. "

In this sense, the nutritionist, clarifies that with the diet of the moon long-term results will not be achieved: "On the contrary, it can harm the organism; the body can suffer a decompensation by consuming only liquids ".
