THE MISTAKES

The following errors may explain why not every vegetarian is healthy or thin:

  1. Eat too much sugar Consumed in excess predisposes to diseases such as diabetes, overweight, obesity or high triglycerides.

  2. Eat too many cereals Most vegetarians abuse carbohydrates when looking for sources of energy, especially bread.

  3. Eat too many gluten-free products. They contain a lot of salt and can cause inflammation.

  4. Consume too many fruits Low-glycemic fruits should be selected, for example grapes, strawberries, apples and blackberries, although they are considered healthy foods, some have high sugar content.

  5. Abusing soy products. Consuming it in a moderate way is healthy, however much of it is of transgenic origin and does not provide all the nutrients that our body needs, besides the soy sauce is high in sodium.
