According to official data, 88% of Mexicans have access to services of Health . Despite efforts to reduce the backlog in this area, Mexico faces the challenge of improving quality of services, as well as in the prevention of ailments such as diabetes Y obesity .

 

It is necessary to invest more in health services in underserved areas. There is a lot to do to improve the prevention of diseases and the integration of services. It is also important to improve the economic protection of patients, suggests the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) .

According to the Health Secretary , the changes produced with the adoption of Styles of lifetime unhealthy impose new challenges which have led to an increasing incidence in chronic diseases non-transmissible

 

The lack of physical activity inadequate nutrition, unsafe sex, excessive consumption of tobacco, alcohol and illicit drugs have caused a considerable increase in cardiovascular diseases , Mellitus diabetes, obesity , malignant tumors, among others.

The great challenge of the health system is in the prevention of this type of diseases. By achieving healthy lifestyles among the population, will reduce the demand and need for this kind of services . What do you think about health coverage in Mexico?
