How often do you feel tired, disoriented, but above all angry? Changes in your mood may be influenced by something else, that work problems, worries or stress, may be caused by dehydration.

According to a study published by the British Journal of Nutrition , dehydration produces more than physical alterations in the body, it can also cause sleep disorders, fatigue, low levels of vigor, but above all, bad moods.

Nathalie Pross, neuropsychologist in cognitive psychology and lead author of the study, points out that only 1.5% dehydration is needed so that it can alter your mood.

The first detrimental effects of dehydration were observed very early in this study (for example, in the morning after 12 to 16 hours of fluid deprivation). In other words, these results showed that in everyday life, many people experience mood swings due to dehydration (for example, people who go to school or work without breakfast, or busy people who skip meals or forget to take water during a busy day).

In the analysis, a group of 26 men and 25 women participated, with ages ranging from 20 to 30 years of age. In this, the women showed greater susceptibility to the effects of dehydration; Low levels of energy, fatigue and were more irritable to the events of their daily lives.

As part of the campaign "Anonymous dehydrated", Bonafont offers a solution to the changes produced by dehydration in the change of mood of Mexican women: drink two liters of water a day.
