Contractures

It appears when the muscle suffers overload , is weak or in the same position for several minutes. Although it is not a serious injury, there are discomforts that make some movements difficult.

To reduce its effect, it is recommended to apply heat in the area of ​​the contracture , have rest for days, do not perform physical activity , sports massage and anti-inflammatory .

 

Muscular strain

It is the over stretching of the muscle , without reaching the break. Is painful and the affected area becomes inflamed. In this case, rest is recommended.

 

Muscular tear

This is the breaking off (partial or complete) of the muscle fibers . In extreme cases it can cause internal bleeding.

When it is mild, rest is recommended, ice applied on the affected part and stretching exercises. If moderate, isometric movements are recommended to tense the muscle.

When there is loss of muscle function, electrostimulation therapy is necessary to relax the muscle.

The ideal is to have the right conditions to perform exercise . It is recommended to be hydrated, preferably in the morning, wear the right clothes and sports shoes.
