Approximately, only 17% of the world population has blue eyes; a trait that for 80% of people is considered synonymous with attraction and beauty. However, is it possible to change the color of the eyes?

In addition to genetics, it is the distribution of melanin responsible for the color of thes eyes ; tonalities that could be altered if certain foods are consumed for a prolonged period.

Honey

Supposedly, organic honey has the ability to clear your eyes if you consume one tablespoon daily for two months.

 

Spinach

The spinach iron can, supposedly, brighten the eyes. You should eat two cups a day.

Olive oil

A spoonful a day apparently makes your eyes look lighter.

Almonds without roasting

They say that eating a handful of almonds without roasting every day changes the color of your eyes gradually.

 

How true is it?

Some time ago this blogger who eats only raw foods said that the color of his eyes had changed from light green to coffee after years of following this diet. Yahoo investigated the case and spoke with several doctors, all assured that food does not change the color of the eyes, but that some diseases can.

Remember, if the color of your iris changes suddenly, it never hurts to check it with a doctor.
