Buccal sprayer vs marijuana addiction

A sprayer oral with substances derived from cannabis , used in treatments against multiple sclerosis, can help combat addiction to marijuana , according to Australian researchers.

The drug, called Sativex , was tested in Sydney and Newcastle, with the aim of mitigating the effects of abstinence syndrome , which causes insomnia , mood swings and cravings .

According to information published in excelsior.com.mx , Jan Copeland , Director of the National Center for Prevention and Information on Marijuana , noted that the sprayer is "an elaborated product of an organic plant" and resembles the therapy against smoking in which the nicotine .

The oral sprayer has minimum doses of the active ingredient THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), to prevent the patient from being drugged and help reduce their consumption of marijuana .

In addition, it has large doses of carboxylic acids that help mitigate the anxiety and it has antipsychotic effects.

 

About marijuana

This controversial plant has therapeutic properties but it is also considered a drug with harmful effects outside of medical use.

Some 200 thousand people smoke marijuana in Australia, which has a population of about 22.3 million people.

Australia and New Zealand are the countries with the highest rate of marijuana and amphetamine use in the world, according to a study recently published in the medical journal The Lancet.
