The Mexican Center for Philanthropy (Cemefi) recognized Real Tourism Group (GRT) , a company that is part of the Grupo Empresarial Angeles, who presides Olegario Vázquez Raña , and direct Olegario Vázquez Aldir , as Socially Responsible Company 2013 (ESR) in the category of services.

Eduardo Ymay , general director of Real Tourism Group , explained that the corporate was submitted to a series of processes that the Cemefi to obtain the distinction, such as quality of life in the company, business ethics, linking the company with the community, and care and preservation of the environment.

He stressed that the brands that make up the group as Camino Real , Real Inn Y Quinta Real , have put into practice various strategies to comply with the appointment of socially responsible firms.

"At the forefront"

Just to give an example, he said, in hotels Real Inn the guest is offered the option of "no daily washing" in the blanks (sheets), in support of the care of the environment, in addition to providing work to people with different abilities.

He has also developed a Code of Ethics and Corporate Governance Policies as the axis of the organization, which has a Fire Control Center and exclusively deals with security and preventive situations in hotels.

In addition, it has the option of menu ligth in the dining rooms of the collaborators, while the Camino Real brand has water treatment plants, said the executive.

"We are proud to have carried out all the processes to obtain the recognition, because we fulfilled the needs and definitions that were put to us to become an ESR".

Within the framework of "VI Latin American Meeting of Socially Responsible Companies " , he mentioned that GRT made important efforts in process of quality standards of procedures and services, through the structures of each one of the departments that the company has.

He recalled that during this year GRT will continue with its expansion plans that include an investment of 85 million dollars to expand the brand Quinta Real .

On the other hand, Jorge Villalobos , executive president of Cemefi , explained that 774 companies from Mexico and Latin America were recognized.

He indicated that more and more companies are deciding to join this new business vision, which is growing not only in Mexico but in the rest of the continent.

Among the winners were Banamex , Post office , Lenovo , Pacific Airport Group Y Xerox , among others.
