Cosmetic substances generate allergies and cancers

The Food and Drug Administration in the United States (FDA, for its acronym in English) could regulate the substances with which the cosmetics are made, due to the risk that some of these generate in the body.

According to Insurance Cosmetics Act 2010 , the FDA could extend its powers to regulate the ingredients with which the cosmetics are made.

Recent research in the United States has revealed that many cosmetic companies use substances that harm people's lives.

Based on the study conducted by the Enviromental Working Group (EWG), 22% of all cosmetics, including some baby products, may contain carcinogenic substances that put the health of consumers at risk.

Therefore, if this Insurance Cosmetics Act In effect, the FDA could prohibit the use of ingredients harmful to humans, either because they contain a high dose of lead, because they have some type of carcinogenic substance and / or excess of chemical or fragrances .

The scope

In this sense, the FDA would have the authority to remove from the market all those cosmetics that do not comply with safety standards. In addition, it will require manufacturing companies to write down on the labels of their products all the ingredients with which they made their merchandise.

All this, with the purpose that the products that daily use millions of people are safe and do not put their health at risk, since not only could they generate allergy to certain ingredients, but in the long term they might have to deal with more serious problems like some kind of Cancer .
