Anisometropia generates strabismus

The anisometropia is the difference that exists in the refractive state of the eyes, that is, of the graduations (one can be myopic or with short vision; and the other could have farsightedness or difficulty seeing nearby objects).

For this reason, the size of the retinal images are different, which prevents correct binocular vision. When the difference refraction (the approach taken by the retina of an object) is minimal and does not generate problems in the view binocular is called anisometropia weak.
