Talking about experiences increases your well-being

If you think that everything around you is bad news and that fills you with stress, the best thing you can do is talk about your experiences with someone else, since it will inject you with energy, increase your well-being and you will feel happier.

According to a study of the Cornell University , in the United States, talking about experiences and not about material things increases your happiness , since it helps you to relive the sensations and emotions that you felt as if it were the first time.

"You can even revive them in a fuller and more rewarding way. It also increases the social connection with the person who listens to you, "the researchers point out.

"People are more willing to talk about their experiences than about their purchases of materials, and they feel more happiness to do it, "said Amit Kumar, author of the study.

Each experience lives in our memory and in the stories we tell others, while material goods disappear when we get used to them.

For example, material things are bought, out of fashion, broken or simply forgotten, while the experience offered by a trip, however small, will remain engraved in your mind all your life.

So if you want to be happier and increase your wellness , you just have to remember the experience that made you very happy, you will notice that you tell your anecdote, you will share that emotion with the person who listens to you. And you, how do you increase your well-being?
