2 journalists killed during live interview

This morning they were shotTelevision journalists in Virginia, United States while doing a live interview , reported the local channel WDBJ7 .

When the shots rang, the journalist and her source began to scream and seek refuge. The incident happened near the 6.45 local time (1045 GMT) during a live broadcast in a Mall of the Bedford County . 

The WDBJ7 station in Roanoke, Virginia, notes that journalist Alison Parker, 24, and photographer Adam Ward, 27, were killed by gunfire.

Parker and Ward filmed an interview for the morning news at Bridgewater Plaza, a shopping and entertainment center.

We do not know the reasons, we do not know who was the killer, "said Jeff Marks, general manager of the television station.

The police are looking for the suspect who opened fire. Some streets have been closed, as well as nearby schools.

The police have not offered more details.
