Miracle products are banned by the Senate

The Senate approved the proposed amendments to The General Law of Health, in the matter of the controversy caused by the miracle products. By unanimous decision, they will now be called cosmetics and it is forbidden to attribute them properties of medicines , such as curing diseases or lose weight .

The modifications establish that the manufacture of said products is regulated with international standards and with requirements of sanitary quality . The companies are obliged to notify the health authorities beforehand about their advertising which will be carried out in order to avoid cheating consumers .

The Cosmetic products are defined as substances or formulas intended to be placed in superficial areas of the human body such as skin , to help modify its appearance, clean them, perfume them or keep them in an optimal state, according to the General law of health .

It is warned that a cosmetic product it can not be a substance destined to be ingested, inhaled, injected or implanted in the body.
