What to do to prevent fires

The fires are one of the main causes of death by accidents in the world, but in most cases these disasters are preventable, it is enough to take a series of precautions that can be very useful to save the lives of our loved ones and our own, as well as our assets.

At home, one of the first things you must take into account is not to overload the power lines, that is: do not connect more than one electrical device to each power outlet.

If someone in your family smokes or if you do, try to be very careful not to throw matches and lit cigarettes into garbage baskets, since there may be substances or materials that work as fuels between the waste and that, with the minimum spark, can cause a fire easily extensible. Even if possible, avoid smoking.

Try not to leave candles, incenses, et cetera, lit or misplaced, these can also be a cause of fire.

If you detect the presence of gas leaks or spills of flammable liquids, report them to the emergency number of firefighters , which in the case of Mexico City is the 068 (always try to have it in a visible place). For greater caution, identify emergency exits, both at home, at work or in public places.

These are just some safety measures that you should take into account as they can help you to prevent fires and to be prepared in case an incident occurs. Remember that the most important thing is your life, take care of it.
