With the National Digital Strategy , the Presidency of Mexico intends to guarantee the right of access to the technologies of the information and communication, but what happens in terms of Health ?
This plan aims to have a connected, participatory and innovative society that empowers its capabilities to have better opportunities; it will focus on five objectives, including universal and effective health.

According to information published by the Presidency of the Republic , seeks to create a comprehensive policy of Health to take advantage of the opportunities provided by information technologies through the following main objectives:
1. Increase coverage, effective access and quality of services
2. Use health infrastructure and resources more efficiently
In addition, there are other secondary objectives that will help Mexicans improve their quality of life and make the most of the services provided. Health .
1. Consolidate a general register of Health that systematize the information of users and doctors
2. Develop the unique personality in health
3. Generate an Electronic Clinical File (ECE)
4. Implement an Electronic Birth Certificate
5. Develop the Electronic Vaccination Primer (CeV)
6. Achieve electronic record information systems for health
Even, it is tried to implement mechanisms of Telehealth Y Telemedicine to practice preventive medicine at a distance, as well as improve the quality of health services and facilitate the medical care.
It is also expected to promote the use of fixed and mobile devices to offer services of Health from distance.
To achieve this, five enablers are proposed: connectivity, through the development of infrastructure; inclusion and digital skills in daily life ; interoperability of systems to exchange information with the government; legal framework that gives certainty and confidence; and government information in open formats.
