Working women gain weight

According to a recent scientific study of Center of Health and Economy of the Monash University,  Australia , women workers with days of more than 35 hours a week are more likely to gain weight .

The study was conducted on 9,276 Australian women between 45 and 50 years old, and it was found that 55% of them gained weight over a period of two years. On average, they gained 1.5% of their initial weight, although in a lower percentage, some women dramatically increased up to five kilos.

According to specialists, women who work the most do less exercise and sleep little, two important factors for weight gain. In addition, it was found that females who work more than 49 hours a week are more prone to to drink Y smoke due to the stress from work. 65% drink at dangerous levels and 36% do not do any kind of exercise .

The results were published as part of a study on how the employment situation and the number of hours worked directly affect the weight .
