This technique, which is becoming increasingly popular among young people from 18 to 29, has already been carried out by 11% of Americans, according to a survey conducted in 2014 by the English company. YouGov.

Why disappear?

The simplest answer is: because they can. Technology allows it. Especially when a relationship has its main base in the virtual world.

"People do not take responsibility, because they can hide behind their phones," says young 26-year-old Justine Bylo. New York Times

But this is not the only reason why people abandon love relationships, among the most popular responses of those who put Ghosting into practice are:

  • Because they know someone else, and it's easier to run away what to explain
  • For not knowing how to face an anger.
  • Because they are not emotionally available.
  • For fear and lack of maturity.

Still not answering your message? Maybe this is the time for you to consider that this relationship has come to an end.
