What type of muscle injury do you have?

The injuries they are a risk in any person, who carry out a prolonged sports activity. They are painful abnormalities that occurs at muscle level ; usually they are caused by some excess of effort or external blow.

  4. Pull: one of the most well-known and common injuries; It occurs when the muscle is subjected to a exaggerated stretching , it is accompanied by pain. In many cases it produces a hematoma
  5. Tear: It is a more serious type of injury since it involves a breakage of muscle fibers. It is very painful, involves the total immobilization of the affected muscle through a bandage and rest and also usually triggers bruises .

The muscle injuries They can also be classified by their origin as of movement, by elongation or shortening.

Shortening:

  1. Muscle inflammation with delayed effect
  2. Contractures
  3. Cramps

Elongation:

  1. Distensions
  2. Contusion
  3. Fibrillar tear
  4. Total tear

In a first instance to deal with these muscle problems It is advisable to use some source of hot , the most common are the simple bag of hot water, a massage, a bath with hot water, ointments, among many others. In case the discomfort persists you should go with a doctor or physiotherapist
